The?Terry Fox Run?was a?fantastic success! Thank you for your support and encouragement – it was lovely to welcome so many parents to join this special event, the first of its kind in Zhuhai. Providing the students with this experience has meant addressing the important topics of disease and cancer, the survivors, remembering those who have lost their lives, and those who continue to battle. It’s also triggered wonderful discussion on who our modern-day heroes are, and the character traits modeled for us by Terry. Thank you to the event organizers for leading the initiative and to all who took part in the planning and preparation.
Hundreds of schools across the globe ran with us today, inspired by Terry’s?incredible example set over 40 years ago.? We challenged ZIS to run 1000km together – today we ran well over 1,500km!? Our top fundraiser is worthy of tremendous thanks – Emma (Y7) has already raised over 3,000 RMB and met her running goal too.? Well done Emma! We are still tallying the donations and will announce soon if we’ve me?our donation goal with all proceeds going to 廣州市風馬扶貧濟困促進會 and their work in supporting cancer research and treatment in Guangdong.
